Let’s say you’re looking for online therapy in Pennsylvania. Not just any online therapy. You want a therapist who pays attention to the world and who will be able to understand your experiences in it.
You want a therapist who is trauma informed, who is not going to reduce you to a set of symptoms, and who can be present with you.
You want a therapist who will give you the space you need to step into your own power and agency.
You’re in the right place.
How will we get started?
- First you contact me. That’s where it all begins.
- Second, we’ll have a 15 – 30 minute consultation over phone or video. The purpose of this consultation is for us to learn if we will be a good fit for each other and to arrive at a fee estimate.
- Third will be an intake session. Prior to the intake I’ll send you some forms to fill out, and during the intake we’ll go over them. This structured process will help us to learn more about each other. It’ll be a little longer than our subsequent sessions.
- Fourth, we’ll set our intentions for out time together. In this process we’ll outline what areas of life you’re seeking support with, how we’ll move through these areas during our time together, and what it will look like when we’re successful.
- Fifth, we’ll follow through on our intention setting and periodically check in about how it is going.
- That’s it! Now we trust the process. In my experience, it usually takes 3 – 5 sessions for the initial jitters to wear off in our new relationship, and 8 – 12 sessions before we find a good rhythm.
How does theory inform your practice?
- I’m trauma informed in that I’m mindful of the role of individual and systemic traumas impacting your life.
- I use a blend of creative expression and narrative therapy to support you making meaning out of your experiences.
- I’m informed by attachment theory in understanding how our past relationships influence us today.
- I use understandings gleaned from somatics practitioners in processing body based trauma and grounding in the present.
- Likewise, I use understandings gleaned from IFS (Internal Family Systems) in connecting with the histories, motivations, and wisdoms of your different parts.
- Last but not least, I’m very much grounded in systems theory and Black Feminism in understanding identities and experiences of systems as intersectional.
Who do you work with?
- Individual people who are choosing to come to therapy of their own accord.
- Couples in all their forms! This can be romantic couples, platonic couples, friends, or any two people customizing their relationship.
- Families including the traditional and nontraditional, parents who are intentionally parenting, and young people!

What if something goes wrong?
- Your first step if something goes wrong is to bring it up with me and we can talk about it. It’s normal for us to occasionally have moments of disconnect. What’s important is the repair process that comes next.
- If we have talked and you are still dissatisfied or you don’t feel safe bringing your concerns to me, I would invite you to contact my supervisor Brandy DeFiglio, LMFT. You can reach her at [email protected].
- If your concerns are still not resolved, and/or you would like to submit a complaint with my licensing board, you can request a complaints package by emailing [email protected]. You may need to know my NPI number which is 1104583210 or my supervisor’s license number which is 000836.
